Demonstrative determiners “this, that, these, those”

Generally speaking, we use this/these to refer to people and things, situations and experiences that are close to the speaker or very close in time. We use that/those to refer to people and things, situations and experiences that are more distant, either in time or physically.

Singular: This/That
Plural : These/Those
This and these for what is close to the speaker. That and Those for what is distant

Now fill in the gaps with the appropriate determiner !

1. Do you see……. boys over there? They're my cousins from New York.
2. Wow, your earrings are so pretty! _Thanks! I usually don't wear jewelry, but ……. two are special!
3. I love ……. car! _Which one? _The gray one, next to the big truck.
